It stores information, analyses it and produces information as required from the data. There are five major components in a computer. They are the input unit, the output unit, the memory unit, the control unit and the arithmetic unit. A computer can be opened, operated and shut down with the help of a mouse. All complicated tasks can be done easily in a very short timewith the help of a computer. The internet is a computer-based communication system. The internet has become very popular worldwide as it provides information, communication and recreation instantly. Computer is immensely beneficial though it has some demerits too. It becomes an addiction to some users. Many prefer spending more time with a computer to doing outdoor activities. But in the age of globalization we cannot do without a computer.
Computer
Computer is wonderful scientific invention. Charles Babez offered a primary concept of computer. On the basis of his concept the first automatic electronic computer was invented in 1946. And so he is called the father of computer. It is such an electronic machine which gives decision very swiftly by receiving masses of data and analyzing them automatically. In accordance with the act and activities computer can be divided into three classes. They are analogue, digital and hybrid computer. According to form and formation computer can be classified into four classes. They are Super Computer, Mainframe computer, Mini computer and Micro computer. Micro computer is also called PC (Personal Computer). Computer has some specific parts. These are Input device, CPU (central processing unit) and Output device. However, computer is of great use to us. It is used in measuring daily routine work, trade and commerce, diagnosing diseases, entertainment, games and sports, transport, educational sector, researching space and what not. It has done great wonders in inventing e-mail, internet and robot. Besides, its utility in controlling population, preparing budget, analyzing natural calamity is very great. But computer is not of unmixed blessing. For its wide use unemployment problem is getting severe. It also causes various diseases to the users. Its ray is very harmful to them. By using computer, the users may loose eye-sight. Nevertheless, present lives cannot be led without computer. Truly speaking, modern civilization is dependent on computer to a great extent.

computer

The computer is one of the most brilliant gifts of science. This device was originally developed by Charles Babbage. Most countries have developed fast due to computerization. Writing a program is essential for a computer. Speed, accuracy, reliability, and integrity are the main characteristics of a computer. Many of the routine activities today at home and in business are done by computers. The computer has proved a friend and servant of science, technology and industry. Most offices, shops, factories and industries use computers. The Internet is a storehouse of information. The computer is boon to all. Telecommunication and satellite imageries are computer based. Computer has made the world a global village today.
