TRANSFORMATION OF SENTENCES




Transformation of sentences
1.      Affirmative to negative
2.      Only=none but
3.      Only (metal) = nothing but
4.      Only (age/number) = not more than/not less than
5.      Must = cannot but/cannot help (cannot help after  verb+ing)
6.      Every = there is no + every after word + but + sentences another part
7.      As soon as = no sooner had + subject + pv past participle + another part +than + second sentence
8.       Superlative degree sentence negative  structure ; no other + superlative degree next part + verb + so + positive degree+ as + subject
9.      Some affirmative word = negative word (before negative word set up ‘not’)
10.  Always = never
11.  Too --- to structure: - subject + verb + so+ adjective / adverb +that +subject + cannot / could not + next part of the sentences.
12.  As---- as  first ‘as’= not less  next ‘as’= than
Assertive sentence to interrogative
1.      To be verb + n’t + subject + next part + interrogative sign(?)
2.      Negative meaningful sentence = cross negative word + first AV + ext
3.      Without auxiliary verb in sentences = don’t /does not/did not + subject + pv + ext + interrogative mark (?)
4.       Do not / does not / did not = not cross + do / does/ did + subject + pv + ext + (?)
5.      Never = ever, nothing = anything
6.      Everybody / everyone / all = who don’t/ does not/ did not + pv present + ext + (?)
7.      Nobody/none/none = who + ext + (?)
Exclamatory to assertive
1.      Subject + verb +a an + very / great + adjective + ext
2.      Hurrah=it is matter of joy that/ it is matter of sorrow + ext
3.      If = subject + wish + if after part
4.      Had = subject + wish + subject + had + ext
5.      Would that = subject + wish + would that after part
Assertive to exclamatory
1.      What (a/an) /how + adjective + subject + verb + ext + exclamatory mark (!)
2.      Wish + were = if + ext + (!)
3.      Wish + had = had + ext + (!)
4.      Wish + could = would that / if + ext + (!)
Assertive to imperative
1.      Pv present + ext (politeness / kindness= please/kindly)
2.      Negative sentence = do not / don’t +pv present form + ext
3.      Never = never + pv present form + ext
4.      First person / third person = let + subject (objective) + pv + ext
5.      First person/ third person + not = let + subject (object) + not + verb + ext (noun before “not” ,pronoun after “not”
